Zeb Hermann

I'm a technologist living in Portland Oregon with my wife and two young kids. I've worked at Sequoia, Vercel, Segment, and various small companies I started or joined. Before tech I was a raft guide across the Americas.

I'm currently deciding what I want to work on next. Some ideas I'm excited about:

• Helping America relearn how to build
• Making more of healthcare operate like Plastic Surgery – which has seen tremendous efficacy improvements and cost declines in the last 20 years
• Building the “no humans involved, an AI just underwrites my team/tech/idea” version of Venture Capital (the inevitable conclusion to the barbell-ification of venture)
• Taking the learnings from sports analytics (such as forecasting progression-by-age) and bringing them to more domains
• Teaching 10M people a trade – we need millions more electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and HVAC techs
• Building technology that helps solve the wildfire crisis in the mountain west and Canada
